This season, PBJ has produced their incredible modified Type 2 jacket using their specially developed 12.5oz "Double-Warps" Sashiko. This fabric is inspired by traditional Japanese sashiko techniques, making for a fantastic and unique look!
This jacket is constructed with PBJ's specially developed 12.5oz "Double-Warps" sashiko woven fabric. Originally used in firefighter's uniforms of the Edo period, PBJ has specifically developed its sashiko fabric for stylish and modern everyday wear! The warp threads are sulphur-dyed with heather grey and sumi black - with wear and wash, the fabric will age nicely to a high-contrast look like PBJ's raw denim.
For a modernised style and fit, this modified type 2 denim jacket has a slightly longer vertical length and features two extra front side pockets compared to the vintage type 2 denim jacket. The high density veg-tanned lambskin patch will gradually soften and become shinier with a dark patina! Finally, PBJ has included their signature hand embroidered "indigo leaf" on the back for some tasteful detail!
